LIGHT WHERE IT MATTERS

Designed for the demands of the equine athlete, the RedLife Performance Tendon Boot combines red light (660nm) and near-infrared light (850nm) in a flexible, wireless wearable designed to provide targeted coverage around the lower leg.

The wrap-style construction conforms around the leg to bring light close to the targeted area, making it easy to incorporate red light therapy into your horse's routine before or after training, on competition days, or as part of regular wellness and recovery care.

Wireless and rechargeable, the Tendon Boot can be used anywhere your horse is comfortable, without being tethered to an outlet.

TWO WAVELENGTHS. TARGETED RECOVERY SUPPORT.

RED LIGHT | 660nm
Supports cellular energy, circulation, and the body's natural recovery processes.

NEAR-INFRARED LIGHT | 850nm
Reaches deeper than visible red light to support muscles, soft tissue, circulation, and normal recovery.

Together, red and near-infrared light provide complementary wavelengths designed to support equine performance, recovery, and everyday wellness.

DESIGNED FOR

  • Post-training recovery
  • Competition preparation and recovery
  • Daily performance support
  • Lower-leg wellness
  • Athletic conditioning
  • Horses with demanding training schedules
  • Regular maintenance and wellness routines
  • Barn-side recovery

WIRELESS. RECHARGEABLE. BARN READY.

No outlet required during use. A built-in rechargeable battery allows you to use the Tendon Boot cord-free in the stall, grooming area, trailer, or at the show.

Simply charge the device using the included USB cable, secure it comfortably around the desired area, select your light mode, and begin your session.

TARGETED SUPPORT BEYOND THE LOWER LEG

Although purpose-built for targeted coverage around the lower leg, the Tendon Boot's flexible design allows it to be positioned on other appropriate areas of your horse when the shape and fit allow for comfortable, secure placement.

This gives you one wearable device that can be incorporated into a broader light-therapy routine rather than limiting its use to one specific area.

HOW TO USE THE TENDON BOOT

Position the Tendon Boot securely around your horse's clean, dry lower leg, adjusting the closures for a comfortable, secure fit.

The boot can be used on the front or hind legs, making it easy to incorporate targeted red light therapy into your horse's regular training, recovery, and wellness routine.

Press the power button to cycle through the available light modes.

LIGHT SETTINGS

1. Red + Near-Infrared: The first press activates both red light (660nm) and near-infrared light (850nm).

2. Red Only: The second press activates only red light (660nm).

3. Near-Infrared Only: The third press activates only near-infrared light (850nm). Near-infrared light is invisible to the human eye, so you may not see visible light from the LEDs. The illuminated power button indicates that the device is operating.

4. Power Off: The fourth press turns the device completely off.

PULSE MODE

To activate Pulse Mode, press and hold the power button for more than 3 seconds. The power button will illuminate blue to indicate Pulse Mode is active.

Once in Pulse Mode:

  1. First press: Red + NIR LEDs pulse
  2. Second press: Red LEDs pulse
  3. Third press: NIR LEDs pulse

RECOMMENDED USE

Use the device 1–2 times per day for at least one week, for approximately 15 minutes per session on the targeted area.

Frequency may be adjusted based on your horse's individual routine and the guidance of your veterinarian or equine-care professional.

TARGETED SUPPORT WHERE YOUR HORSE NEEDS IT

The Tendon Boot is purpose-built to provide targeted coverage around the lower leg, making it ideal for incorporating red and near-infrared light into pre- and post-training routines.

Its flexible design also allows the device to be positioned on other appropriate areas of the horse when the fit allows. Always make sure the boot is positioned securely and comfortably during use.

MATERIALS

The RedLife Performance Tendon Boot is constructed from flexible SBR material, designed to conform around the horse's leg while allowing the integrated LEDs to sit close to the targeted area.

The built-in rechargeable battery provides completely wireless operation during use.

CLEANING

  • Gently brush away dirt and debris or wipe clean with a soft cloth.
  • Do not submerge the device in water.
  • Keep moisture away from the charging port and electronic components.
  • If dirt or debris builds up directly on the LEDs, apply a small amount of rubbing alcohol to a cloth and gently clean the LED surface.
  • Allow the Tendon Boot to dry completely before use or charging.

CHARGING + STORAGE

  • Allow approximately 5 hours for a full charge.
  • Do not leave the device uncharged for longer than 6 weeks.
  • Store flat or gently rolled as originally packaged.
  • Do not fold the device. Folding may damage the internal LED connections.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture, excessive heat, and prolonged UV exposure.

IMPORTANT USE INFORMATION

  • Make sure your horse and the application area are clean and dry before use.
  • Do not submerge the device or allow water to enter the charging port.
  • Do not use directly over an open wound.
  • Do not use the device if it shows visible damage.
  • Do not shine LED light directly into the eyes.

Red light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, uses targeted red and near-infrared wavelengths to support normal cellular activity. For horses, it can be incorporated into a regular wellness, performance and recovery routine as a non-invasive, easy-to-use therapy.

Red and near-infrared light are commonly used to support circulation, muscle recovery, tissue health and overall comfort. Red light therapy is increasingly used with both performance horses and horses needing additional recovery support. Results can vary, and red light therapy should complement, not replace, appropriate veterinary care.

Consistency matters, but more is not necessarily better. The appropriate session length and frequency depend on the wavelengths, output of the device and your reason for using it. Always follow the recommended RedLife protocol included with your product, and consult your veterinarian when using light therapy as part of an injury or rehabilitation plan.

Accordion content 3.Our red light products combine red and near-infrared light for recovery-focused support. Our Blue Light models add a shorter-wavelength blue light designed for more surface-level applications, giving you an additional light-therapy option in the same wearable format. Blue light penetrates more superficially than red and near-infrared light and has been studied primarily for skin-level and antimicrobial applications.

Red light therapy, scientifically known as photobiomodulation, uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to interact with cells.

Research suggests these wavelengths are absorbed by light-sensitive molecules within the cells, particularly in the mitochondria, which help produce cellular energy. This interaction can influence ATP production, circulation-related signaling and other cellular processes involved in normal tissue function and recovery.

Red and near-infrared wavelengths also behave differently in tissue, with near-infrared light generally reaching deeper than visible red light. The result is a non-invasive way to deliver targeted light to areas of the horse where recovery support matters most.

The Performance Essential

RED + NEAR-INFRARED

Our foundational light therapy system combines two
complementary wavelengths:

RED LIGHT

Designed to support cellular energy, circulation and normal
recovery.

NEAR-INFRARED LIGHT

Reaches deeper than visible red light to support muscles, soft tissues, circulation, and the body's natural recovery processes.

Ideal for:

  • Daily training
  • Post-workout recovery
  • Competition recovery
  • General wellness
  • Athletic conditioning

The Complete Light System

RED + NEAR-INFRARED + BLUE

Take your light therapy routine one step further by adding
blue light.

In addition to the recovery-focused benefits of red and
near-infrared light, blue light provides a surface-level component designed to
support healthy skin and a clean, healthy surface environment.

RED — Cellular + recovery support

NIR — Deeper tissue + recovery support

BLUE — Skin + surface wellness

WHY ADD BLUE?

The horse's lower legs and hooves are constantly exposed to the environment—footing, dirt, moisture, and everyday barn conditions. Adding blue light provides another dimension to your light therapy routine, complementing the recovery-focused role of red and near-infrared wavelengths.

Three wavelengths. One comprehensive approach to equine wellness.
