Designed for the demands of the equine athlete, the RedLife Performance Tendon Boot combines red light (660nm) and near-infrared light (850nm) in a flexible, wireless wearable designed to provide targeted coverage around the lower leg.
The wrap-style construction conforms around the leg to bring light close to the targeted area, making it easy to incorporate red light therapy into your horse's routine before or after training, on competition days, or as part of regular wellness and recovery care.
Wireless and rechargeable, the Tendon Boot can be used anywhere your horse is comfortable, without being tethered to an outlet.
TWO WAVELENGTHS. TARGETED RECOVERY SUPPORT.
RED LIGHT | 660nm
Supports cellular energy, circulation, and the body's natural recovery processes.
NEAR-INFRARED LIGHT | 850nm
Reaches deeper than visible red light to support muscles, soft tissue, circulation, and normal recovery.
Together, red and near-infrared light provide complementary wavelengths designed to support equine performance, recovery, and everyday wellness.
DESIGNED FOR
WIRELESS. RECHARGEABLE. BARN READY.
No outlet required during use. A built-in rechargeable battery allows you to use the Tendon Boot cord-free in the stall, grooming area, trailer, or at the show.
Simply charge the device using the included USB cable, secure it comfortably around the desired area, select your light mode, and begin your session.
TARGETED SUPPORT BEYOND THE LOWER LEG
Although purpose-built for targeted coverage around the lower leg, the Tendon Boot's flexible design allows it to be positioned on other appropriate areas of your horse when the shape and fit allow for comfortable, secure placement.
This gives you one wearable device that can be incorporated into a broader light-therapy routine rather than limiting its use to one specific area.

Red light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, uses targeted red and near-infrared wavelengths to support normal cellular activity. For horses, it can be incorporated into a regular wellness, performance and recovery routine as a non-invasive, easy-to-use therapy.
Red and near-infrared light are commonly used to support circulation, muscle recovery, tissue health and overall comfort. Red light therapy is increasingly used with both performance horses and horses needing additional recovery support. Results can vary, and red light therapy should complement, not replace, appropriate veterinary care.
Consistency matters, but more is not necessarily better. The appropriate session length and frequency depend on the wavelengths, output of the device and your reason for using it. Always follow the recommended RedLife protocol included with your product, and consult your veterinarian when using light therapy as part of an injury or rehabilitation plan.
Accordion content 3.Our red light products combine red and near-infrared light for recovery-focused support. Our Blue Light models add a shorter-wavelength blue light designed for more surface-level applications, giving you an additional light-therapy option in the same wearable format. Blue light penetrates more superficially than red and near-infrared light and has been studied primarily for skin-level and antimicrobial applications.
Red light therapy, scientifically known as photobiomodulation, uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to interact with cells.
Research suggests these wavelengths are absorbed by light-sensitive molecules within the cells, particularly in the mitochondria, which help produce cellular energy. This interaction can influence ATP production, circulation-related signaling and other cellular processes involved in normal tissue function and recovery.
Red and near-infrared wavelengths also behave differently in tissue, with near-infrared light generally reaching deeper than visible red light. The result is a non-invasive way to deliver targeted light to areas of the horse where recovery support matters most.
